About Switzerland

 

歐洲人提到瑞士時還是習慣了使用 “CH”這個縮寫, 這個辭彙其實就是從羅馬時代流傳下來的。瑞士邦聯 (正式簡稱：CH代表 Confederation Helvetica)，於西元1291年8月1日成立, 西元1848年由二十六個州合併成為聯邦共和國。所以8月1日是瑞士的國慶日。

Switzerland, French: Suisse; Italian: Svizzera ; Romansh: Svizra, officially the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, hence its abbreviation CH), is a country in Europe. Switzerland evolved over many centuries from a loose alliance of small self-governing towns and states to a fully-fledged federal state of 26 cantons. The state of Switzerland as we know it today only assumed its current form in 1848.

*CHF = modern 3-character-abbreviation for Swiss Franc (Swiss currency), corresponding to USD for the US Dollar.

約814万人口(2013年底)在世界人口排行榜上位居第97位，而瑞士国土面积排名则在第135位。非瑞士公民約 23.8%; 主要語言為德語 63.7%，法語 20.4%，義大利語 6.5%，羅馬語 0.5 %，英语1% ; 宗教(2012年数据)：天主教38.2%、新教26.9%、无宗教信仰21.4%、伊斯兰教4.9%。

主要城市有蘇黎世，日內瓦，巴塞爾, 伯恩 (首都)，洛桑，聖加倫，琉森。

這次主題是漫遊瑞士，所以沒有安排一個比較緊密的行程，只列了幾個必去的地方，然後再探索...

 交通:


瑞士的旅行費中，除了住宿外，交通費用就是主要消費了，(這次在瑞士境內的交通費，每人差不多4千港幣)在瑞士的火車票分好幾種，Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Half Fare Travel Card, Swiss Transfer Ticket, etc. 基本上都適用於火車，巴士，船等。


千奇吾好問我邊種比較抵，因為要事乎詳盡的行程才比較得到，我也懶得比較，決定去到買火車票時再請教售票員的專業意見，我向工作人員講述我的行程後，他幫我研究後，覺得我買Half Fare Travel Card比較化算。


買pass時要出時護照, 每人一張Half Fare Travel Card，每張為CHF120，這張卡為期一個月，卡上會有你的名字，國籍，護照號碼，只限本人使用，每次買火車票時都要出示。
要留意的是，根據我的經驗不是所有都半價，應該是可享有最高半價的折扣，而且在瑞士每次坐火車都會有工作人員查票，查票時也要出示你的Half Fare Travel Card。 

 Transportation


5days in Switzerland. The best choice is the avoid cars at all and use public transportation instead. Trains and busses are available everywhere and on the larger lakes, taking a boat may be a very enjoyable alternative. The "Schweizerische Bundesbahnen" (SBB) - the Swiss Federal Railroad, there are many types of pass for your consideration. Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Half Fare Travel Card, Swiss Transfer Ticket, etc. also SBB has a nice website with an on-line time table where you can also purchase tickets and print them on your own printer. I chose half fare pass for my 5 days trip in Switzerland. If you have no idea to choose the pass, no worries, the staff is very helpful and willing to provide the profession opinion to you. Many of Switzerland’s peaks are accessible to visitors by cable car or cog railway. If you purchase a Swiss Pass, you benefit from a discount off the price of most trips.

在瑞士乘坐任何一種交通工具都非常方便，有清晰的指示和時間表，船和火車之間的接駁時間也很清楚，要迷路絶對有難道，哈哈。

天氣


天氣也是旅行的重要因素之一，但剛到步的第一天便下大雨，第二天又出奇好天，當地的人都說，四,五月的天氣變化多端。這五天的旅程裡，都是隔天下雨的。好在上少女峰同遊船河這兩天的行程都天公做美


Weather

Generally speaking, spring is wet and cool, April is well known for fast and often changing weather conditions. The temperature depends primarily on the elevation.

這次的瑞士之旅，沒有去比較熱鬧的主要城市，一站站玩下去，因為不想家人每天換酒店，太周車勞動，主要圍著Interlaker (Berner Oberland)玩，因為Interlaker Ost是主要的車站，可通往各旅遊景點。


住宿

這次住在離Interlaker Ost 一個火車站的Lauterbrunnen。 住宿方面由於人數關係，我們就訂了一間Apartment，在Airbnb.com有很多選擇，還有很多豪宅選擇。記得要提前預訂，因為很多時候屋住可能要維修等，預訂之後就可以直接與屋主聯絡，屋主也為我們提供了很多旅遊和交通資訊，很不錯。由取鎖匙到退房，我們都沒有見過面，一切都靠自覺。　　

 


Accommodation


My plan is travel within Berner Oberland. There is the Interlaken Ost railway station; it connects the SBB national network to most of the region. We had book an apartment in Lauterbrunnen as our vacation apartment. There are many nice apartments in Airbnb.com, easy to book and the host is very helpful.

 

Day 1: Netherlands to Switzerland

Rotterdam Centraal (NL) ---Utrecht Centraal ---Bazel SBB (CH) ---Interlaker Ost --- Lauterbrunnen

 

由Rotterdam到Bazel的來回火車票是每人二百多歐元。經過８個小時的火車終於到瑞士。

Rotterdam to Bazel cost 234€ per person for round trip and spend 8 hours on the train.

After spent 8 hours to Bazel, we had to spent 2 more hours to Interlaker. Finally we arrive at Lauterbrunnen. What a beautiful town.

 

The Waterfalls

An inspiration to poets and painters, Switzerland’s waterfalls are among the highest and biggest in Europe.


Lauterbrunnen(海拔:797米)身處於少女峰中裡，位於山間的村落，無數瀑布從斷崖而落，寧靜優美。

Staubbach Falls, top waterfalls in the world. What a wonderful yard for those who lives in Lauterbrunnen.  The valley as well as the Swiss Alps is in the background complements the landscape.

 

在鎮內還遇見當地居民在吹阿爾卑斯長號, 它是阿爾卑斯山區的傳統樂器之一
The alphorn in Switzerland was first documented in the mid-16th century by natural scientist Conrad Gesner.

Lauterbrunnen --- Interlaker Ost ---Jungfraujoch( Top of Europe)---Grindelwald--- Lauterbrunnen

 

Mountain Adventures

Visiting the Swiss mountains is a must, you’ll be able to see and experience Swiss mountaintops like never before.

 

“少女峰 - 歐洲屋脊”是在瑞士的必去景點。 全歐洲地勢最高的火車站就坐落在海拔 3,454 米的峰頂。 遊客可以從觀景台欣賞Aletsch冰川或超級冰宮上阿爾卑斯高峰冰雪與岩石奇景。 前往少女峰的鐵路旅程將從Eiger與Mönch穿行而過，形成一段美妙的鐵路旅程。在中途欣賞到壯觀美景。去少女峰的路線會經過Grindelwald和Wengen, 所以行程可安排到這兩個地方遊玩一下。

出發到少女峰時做好準備, 因為少女峰站位於海拔3454米之上, 會出現高山症狀。

 

The Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe is the highlight of any Swiss holiday. The highest railway station in Europe is located 3,454 metres above sea level. The visitors gain access to a high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, which they can admire from the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace.

The railway journey to the Jungfraujoch is an experience which leads through the Eiger and the Mönch. At the Eismeer and Eigerwand intermediate stations, visitors can enjoy the wonderful view.

 

少女峰上有餐廳, 店舖, 最利害的是酒店都有, 如果你是雪山愛好者,想我一樣,你一定想住在這。 但我建議你確實自己和同行者都沒有高山症才下決定, 就像我這一次一同7人中, 得3人沒有高山反應, 好在下山後他們的頭痛等症狀都沒有了。 另外我有個朋友曾經在這少女峰上工作了三年, 真的很利害和讓人羨慕。

 來回Lauterbrunnen和少女峰的火車票是CHF97.8每人(已使用了Half Fare Card)

Picturesque old quarter

Historic houses decorated with frescoes line the picturesque town squares as they do the ‘Weinmarkt’ square in the car-free old town.

 

 

Luzern琉森 (海拔:436米)

瑞士中部的心臟地帶就是琉森湖Vierwaldstattersee這個原文名稱相當長的大型湖泊, 雖然原意是「4座森林之國的湖泊」, 不過一般都將之稱為琉森湖, 而在這座扭曲變形的湖泊西端即為瑞士過去的首都, 琉森, 這是座與湖泊一同發展至今的美麗古都。

 

來到琉森的老街跟住在Lauterbrunnen有很大的不同, 許多自中古世紀以來不變的石砌小徑街道, 以濕壁畫, 鮮花裝飾的家家戶戶……這瑞士的第4大城市, 讓人感覺寧靜而優雅.  

 

Luzern (Lucerne in French and English, Lucerna in Italian) has long been one of Europe’s most heavily touristed towns. When Queen Victoria came for a long holiday in August 1868. Complete with gable paintings, the covered, medieval Chapel Bridge forms the centre piece of Lucerne’s townscape and is considered to be one of the oldest, covered wooden bridges in Europe.

 

Day 4:

Lauterbrunnen --- Interlaker Ost ---Interlaker West --- Thunersee--- Lauterbrunnen

 

Float Around

Turquoise blue waters, mountain peaks capped with eternal snows, and a cool breeze in your face.

 

來到瑞士一定要遊船河啦! 這體驗可算是最難忘之一了, 近距離的飄零燕畫面盡在眼簾, 村落與城鎮間一座座的城堡, 結合了自然之美與人類工業技術的鐵道, 隱藏在岩壁當中水勢凶猛的瀑布……

 

瑞士國內擁有大小眾多的湖泊, 所以湖船不止是遊客的觀光船, 還是很多當地居民穿梭和城鎮的交通工具。 最方便的是船隻停靠的港口不是靠近鐵道車站, 就是可以與列車轉接接駁。 而已列車與船隻的接駁時間表非常準確, 可在售票處取到。


那天天氣為陰天, 所以相片比較陰沈, 但現場景色還是很美!

我們選擇了圖恩湖Thunersee, 可從遠方眺望雄偉的阿爾卑斯山景, 在Interlaker West(西站)登船, 還可在Interlaker West遊玩一下。從西站到圖恩湖約2小時15分, 夏季時幾乎每一小時就有一班船出發。至圖恩湖來回船票為CHF28.5(Half Fare Card Price)。

 

Cruise boats on the Thunersee call at stops such as Thun, Oberhofen, Spiez and Interlaken West while passing Alpine landscapes of central Switzerland near Bern.

A cruise on Lake Thun takes you past picturesque fishing villages, castles steeped in history, small historic cities with Romanesque churches, museums, castles, old town centers, etc.

A beautiful Old Town, modern architecture, and the Rhine – an inviting spot to rest a while.

 

Bazel 巴塞爾 (海拔:277米)

Bazel 巴塞爾與德國, 法國的國境相鄰, 也許因鄰國氣氛渲染, 巴塞爾自古以來就以文學術之都聞名; 常從書本記載的萊茵河從城市中心貫流而過, 城市某部分還延展著舊市街, 保存狀態堪稱歐洲之最.

 

Basel is among other things home to the symphony orchestra and the chamber orchestra as well as the musical theatre featuring international productions.
