- The only mainland breeding colony of the Northern Royal Albatross, large majestic seabirds with a wingspan of thee metres, is at the Otago Peninsula.

自1988年起的每年夏天（通常在2月），都會在這條街道舉行競跑比賽（Baldwin Street
Gutbuster）
每天都有很多遊客慕名而來,
記得當天也有對來自加拿大的年長夫婦前來參觀, 但因為丈夫腿不夠好, 不能親身感受, 幸好剛巧有居住在這Baldwin Street的居民回家, 為了表現好客之道, 即埸開車表演了極速走上這全世界最陡峭的街道, 然後極速下滑回家給我們見識一下, 哈哈, 其實這樣子很傷車的! 但這Baldwin Street 兩旁仍然住了很多居民, 相信他們會因為住在這而感到自豪!
- Larnach Castle located on the Otago Peninsula is New Zealand’s only castle.
這座Larnach Castle的原本的主人是William James Mudie Larnach, 澳洲人。由Larnach Family 到現在的主人Barker Family期間, 有很多人曾經擁有過這Larnach Castle，而這Larnach Castle也曾經用作瘋人院和醫院等。

直至1967 Margaret and
Barry Barker購買了這座Larnach Castle，他們用了很多精力和研究為城堡進行恢復到原本嚴格的標準，而花園經由Margaret Barker創作而煥然一新。現在Larnach Castle再次成為Dunedin首屈一指的地標。

- Otago Girls’ High School was one of the first state run secondary schools for girls in the world.
女校就無去到啦，但我們去了有一百五十年歷史的男校。
自駕遊後記
說真的很佩服我朋友, 第一次在新西蘭渣車, 沒有GPS, 只有在Information center拿的地圖，加上路上的指示, 最後順利到達目的地。
真的很懷念一起走過的日子呢！
